The Interview-2014

 I was being interviewed by someone at the legendary Newark Symphony Hall Theatre in Newark, New Jersey. We were blessed to perform the hit play, Down By The Hudson: A Love Story For The Soul, at the theatre in 2013 and 2014.

Is Love Blind?

Have you heard? 

Rumor has it that love is blind

Love is only blind, when don't know the true meaning of the word

When you first met your mate, you knew nothing about that person

Therefore, you were blind

Once you got to know, who your mate was, then, your eyes began to open

At that point, you made a decision whether or not to stay with your mate

The same with love

Once you know what love is

Your heart, mind, and eyes becomes open to something that is cherished, blessed, beautiful, and everlasting

Love is neve blind

Love is one of the greatest gifts to all Mankind!

Is Love Dangerous?

 From time-to-time, you've heard people say, 'love is dangerous!'

I don't believe love is dangerous at all because God is love, and love is God

Ask yourself, 'is God dangerous?'

Of course the Lord is not dangerous!

However, I believe if you play around with something beautiful as love is

Then, it becomes dangerous!

The Mature Bachelor-An Hollywood Idea

 I have an idea for Hollywood. There’s a show on ABC titled , The Bachelor, where young people in their 20s and 30s look for their lifetime mate. I have an idea to come up with a show titled, The Mature Bachelor, where men and women from the ages of 40-58 look for someone to spend the rest of their lives with. What do you all think?

 I’m just smiling and thankful to the Lord God for Him, and every day! You’ll be amazed of how many people throughout the world have nothing to smile about! 

My Thoughts of You

 When I think of you, I'm in neverland

The love I have for you in my heart, beats louder than any school band

Whenever I think about the goodness of your love, my body shivers

When I think of you, my smile is longer than the Passaic River

Whenever you come to mind

I realize a love like yours is very hard to find

But, every now and then, I say to myself, 'is this love real?'

'is it really love that I feel?'

'or, is it the flesh I so desperately yearn for and enjoy?'

As I think about our relationship, I realize I do enjoy everything about you

I enjoy seeing your smile, as I enter into your presence

I enjoy the smoothness of your heavenly touch

I enjoy staring into your eyes, but I can only stare for a moment

For you beauty is just too much!

I enjoy the music we listen to from back in the day

I keep saying to myself, 'where has she been all my life?'

I don't know where you were then, but I'm glad you came my way!

When I think of you, I wonder how long will see each other

When I think of you, I can't imagine you belonging to another

When I think of you, I'm glad I didn't meet a female

Instead, I'm glad I met a real woman!

In Our Own World: A Love Song

As I walked through a crowded room, there you were

Sitting down with your red dress on fixing the latch on your shoe

It's funny because when you looked up, our eyes connected, like bee is to honey

You looked like a model, who was worth a lot of money

At first, I strolled on passed you

As I walked on by, I could feel the very essence of your beauty in an illuminated kind of way

At that moment, I knew I had to turn back around, so you wouldn't get away

As I approached you, I had no clue, as to what I was going to say

I introduced myself and all of a sudden, we started to communicate

As we were getting to know each other, I felt like we were in another whole world from everyone else that night

I never had that feeling before, until I met you

When we departed, I knew I wouldn't be interested in another

I knew right then and there, we would be in our own world

We could escape reality

In our own world

We could forget about life's problems

In our own world

I remember our first lunch date

I didn't wanna be late

We were so happy to see each, for your smile touched me so lightly

Your presence filled the room up, so brightly

As you began to speak, I could feel the pain you were going through

I'm so glad I could reach out and touch you

After lunch, I wanted you to stay longer

But, I knew you had to go

After that day we spent together, our feelings grew stronger and stronger

You were so warm-spirited and kind 

You constantly stayed on my mind

All I kept thinking about; was you and I in our own world

We don't have to answer to no one, but God, Himself

I would hold you in my arms forever and I wouldn't let go for anything

We could create our own paradise with no one in it, but the two of us

In our own world

Ooo girl!  It feels good having a true woman in my corner to give me support, whenever I need it

And, ooo, girl!  You're the only one, who can make me laugh, when I'm going through some of the storms of life

As long as I live, I just want cha to know that I'll be a true man, who will be in your corner and not be overtaken by pride
