Vote

Vote!!

Exercise your power!

For WE THE PEOPLE are the government!!

Do not put your rights in a state of deferment

Some may say, 'our votes don't count.  So, what's the use?'

Many feel our voting system stinks

That's just what certain people want us to think

Here's an example of why you should vote

Let's say you live in a town where there are forty-five percent of German-Americans, and fifty percent of African-Americans

You have two people running for mayor

If forty out of forty-five percent of the German-American community votes for the mayor they want, and if only twenty-five out of fifty percent of the African-American community votes for the one they want, whoever the German-American community votes for, will win by a landslide!

Although there are more African-Americans within the town, the German-American community vote out numbers the African-American community vote

Therefore, who do you think the mayor will please the most?

He/she will please the German-American community, before he/she pleases the African-American community

Why not?

After all, it was the German-American community that put the mayor, who they wanted in office

It shouldn't be that way, but in reality.  It is that way!

That's why it is so important to vote!

We all know that some politicians do not always keep their promise, or do the job they are supposed to do, once they're in office

Not all politicians represent the people

That's the power of voting

Getting that person out of office, who are not doing the job or representing the people!

You vote someone else in, who you think may do the job and represent the people!

So, don't let your power go to waste!!

Vote and let us all make a difference for a BETTER GOVERNMENT!

My Sunshine

When the raindrops fall

You are my Sunshine that dries my tears

You are my Sunshine in time of despair

You are my Sunshine, when no one seems to care

You are my Sunshine sent from the Lord to become my wife

You are my Sunshine sent from heaven above to brighten my life

You are My Sunshine

To make it through this chaotic world, Love will give you plenty of fuel!

Love is NOT hate!

MY SENORITA

Hola, Hermosa!

May I have this dance, my Senorita?

I feel so peaceful, whenever I'm close to you

Instantly, I smile, when I stare into your gorgeous eyes

You seduce me, the way you sway your body from left to right

You capture me, when you whisper in my ear, 'te amo mucho'

When I'm with you, you make me feel how much I'm really worth

You hold my hand, like it's the last day on earth

You treat me like a King and never take me for granted

I will forever love you, my Beautiful Senorita!

BLACK WOMAN

Sitting here next to you, made me realize how beautiful you really are

It's a blessing to be in your presence

For your beauty is full of sweet essence

It's amazing how your eyes say, 'I want you.  I'll care for you.  I'll love you in more ways than one.  I'll be the mother of your children.  I'll be the backbone you can lean and depend on.  I'll be your Queen, if you'll be my King.'

It's funny how your smile touches me from a short distance

For your body language pursues me quiet persistence

I thank God for you, Black Woman!

For you have Style, Grace, and Eloquence!

You stand in a class all by yourself

I will ALWAYS respect you, Black Woman!

I will ALWAYS love you, Black Woman!

I will ALWAYS stand by your side, Black Woman!

I will ALWAYS be the man, you want me to be, Black Woman!

A Question-Part 1

Some people disagree with the Black Lives Matter Movement

When it comes to Race, America can use a lot of improvement

The fact we are still dealing with this issue is very sad

One of the reasons why Black Lives Matter, due to the reality that Black People have fought in EVERY WAR this country has ever had!!

Crispus Attucks was a Black Man from Boston, Massachusetts, who ignited the very first war in our Country, and he was the first person to die in the struggle!  I'm talking about The Revolutionary War, in which we won our independence from the oppression of the British

To eventually forming our own country, which we call today, The United States of America!

My African-American Ancestors, along with my father, uncles, and cousins have served this country well and with great pride!

Still, by the hands of Racism, many of my people have died!

Today, African-Americans, including my niece and some of my relatives, still serve our country's Armed Forces to defend our great Nation

During the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, most of the Essential Workers are People of Color, including Latinos, who kept this Country up and running

With this said, my question is;

Why are we as Black People still being treated like second class citizens in our own country?

Real Men Are Kings

There are boys, who play around with all sorts of things

There are males, NOT MEN, but males, who make babies, dress in fancy clothes, lack of responsibility, and when it comes to living off of other people's hard work, there are those, who clings

But, REAL MEN are true Kings!

Real men are those, who love the Lord

Real men are those, who have respect and love for themselves and for others

Men, who care and look out for their brothers

Real men are also those, who care about their hygiene and attire

Men, who pray and are sincere with their prayers

Real men are those, who do what they have too, in order to protect and take care of their families with great satisfaction

While at the same time, takes responsibility for their actions

Real men strive hard to be educated through the Word God, academically, and they strive to work hard at any job they do, even if it's a job sweeping floors

Not only are real men Kings, but they are leaders and NEVER EVER a follower!

January 20, 2009: A Good Day

Each time we are able to awake
is an absolute blessing from God Almighty, which is no mistake

Regardless, to what anybody had to say

Whether you were in Washington, D.C., at home, school, work, in different parts of the world, or just simply hanging out around the way

January 20, 2009, was truly a blessed and good day!

History in the United States of America was made

Everyone from all Races and Nationalities united together to take part in the biggest parade

On that day, there was so much love all around

Satan himself was silenced

For there was not once ounce of violence

For us African-Americans, there have been years of annoy

But on that day, there were tears of joy

Although we as African-Americans have come a mighty, mighty long ways

There are some things within our community we need to employ

We must employ our children to worship and praise the Lord God!

We as African-American fathers must employ time with our children because every son needs their father

I'm not saying daughters don't need their fathers because they do

However, in my opinion, boys need their dad, even more

Speaking of boys, we must employ time within our communities to stop young Black men from going to prison

For the Criminal Justice System makes BILLIONS of dollars per year, just to keep our young Black men locked up, which is their plan and their vision

We must employ time within our communities to stop the violence amongst one another

We must employ time to give back to our sisters and brothers

We must employ time to love each other

January 20, 2009, was not only a day for Black people to rejoice
It was a day, where Black people, White people, Jewish people, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, Christians, Muslims, and all other Nationalities and Religions came together as one

Everyone embraced each other and had good clean fun

People from all parts of the country was there, which is rare

You never seen so much excitement in the air

It only showed that people are ready for a change and that America does care

Today, we live in a time of turmoil

But, on that day!

Not only was I proud to be an American, but I was glad to be in the U.S. of A!

If only the slave owners and our founding Fathers of this great Nation could've lived to see that particular era of an African-American President being sworn in, I would've loved to have seen their reaction!

I know if our fallen Ancestors, who were slaves and helped built this country with their sweat and blood, could've lived to see that day, they would've been dancing and praising God Almighty with great satisfaction!!

If the fallen Civil Rights Activists, like Medgar Evers, Rosa Parks, W.E.B. Du Bois, and other leaders, like Malcom X had of been alive, they would've been happy to see this country moving forward slowly but surely at a positive pace

If my father would've been alive, I would've loved to have seen his happy face

However, I am glad my mother got to live to see that day

How America sworn in a President that's within our Race

Just think!!

We as African-Americans were slaves in this country

We were not considered a human being!  But, a slave, a piece of property!!

A dog had more rights than we did in this country

Then later on, we went from being a slave, from being a piece of property, to being "three-fifths" of a person

Imagine only being considered "three-fifths" of a person!!

Then, we went on to struggle through the "Jim Crow" and the "Civil Rights" era

Afterwards, drugs were put into our communities, which destroyed a lot of Black families and lives

Crack Cocaine and AIDS were also put into our communities, which destroyed a lot of Black families and lives as well

Within the last 30 years or so, more and more of our young Black men, as I have stated before, have filled our prisons throughout this country

Black people have gone through so much chaos and destruction, it feels like we have been to hell and back!!

Now, look!

We have our first African-American President in the White House!  The White House!

No longer an Illinois resident

Barack Obama is now America's first Black President!

I thank the Lord for watching over the Obama's and may He, continue to be with them throughout this Presidential term

For I know Michelle Obama will add style, beauty, flavor, and color to the White House

I thank God for the change that is already here today

For I know the progress to fixing our economy will be a long one, but I thank the Lord for the positive change that are on the way

If Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, and their daughter Yolanda King, had of been alive, I know they would've held hands together and had a blast!
They would've shouted, 'Free at last!'  'Free at last!'  'Thank God Almighty we are free at last!!'

I thank God Almighty for God!!  May He, continue to bless America!!

True Friends

Friends are there
Friends care
True friends are rare

Friends are not cruel
Real friends are cool
True friends never take you for a fool

Friends are kind
Friends never leave you behind
True friends are hard to find

Friends are like glue
Friends lift you up, when you are down and blue
True friends are few

In this world, friends lack
Some friends travel in pack
Although friends may disagree with one another, but true friends always have your back!

Unique Woman

Whenever you enter into my world

I can feel the feel the presence of your beauty

To wine and dine you would be an honor and my humble duty

The Flag of Love

We raise the American Flag for unity throughout the country, which is a beautiful thing to do

We salute the red, white, and blue that sits high up on the pole, as the wind gently flaps it back and forth, like the wings of a dove

However, there's one flag that should stand before all flags throughout the world

I'm talking about the Flag of Love!

The Road To Adulthood

I went from a baby in diapers

To a kid wearing glasses

To a teenager, who done well in all my classes

I may not be the most popular teen in the hood, or in school

I may not be that teen, who wears a gangsta bandana on my head

I may not even be that teen, who gets the most girls in bed

I may not that be that teen, who walks with a smooth strut

I may not be that teen, who wears his pants down to my butt

I may not, also, be that teen, who is cool

But, at least I'm in school

And, I'm nobody's fool

As I prepare to journey to college, I realize I'm on my way to the road of adulthood

On that road, I am determine to complete my higher education and I will not let anything!

I do mean, anything!  Stand in my way

The values my parents taught me will never stray

If the journey along the road gets bumpy from time-to-time, I'll turn to the Lord and pray

After I complete college, my dream is to become a doctor

Through the Spirit of God, I want to save as many lives as I can

Especially, the lives of my people

I want to become somebody important, in order to take care of myself, my family, and help take care of my parents, who raises and takes care of me day after day

I could never fully repay them for all the love they have given me

For the shelter, clothes, and food they provide daily

When I fulfill my dream in life, I can, then, be the most popular person in my community

Instead of wearing a gangsta bandana on my head or my pants down to my butt, I can wear the finest suit around with a Godfather hat tilted to the side

Cruising the streets chillin' in my brand new ride

Instead of sleeping with fast women for a cheap thrill

I'll be married to a beautiful Queen and we'll start a family

We will dwell in a new home up on the hill

After I obtain my degrees from school

I'll then be cool

And, I still won't be nobody's fool

Father, Help Me

Father

Help me to follow You

Help me to help myself

Help me to overcome the temptations of the world

In fact, help this world to surrender to You

Help me to deal with trouble, whenever it comes my way

Help me to deal with life each and every day

Continue to help and teach me to pray

When it comes to Your Will, help me to obey

Help me to be a Christian

Help me to be a Christian dad

Help me to be a Christian husband

Help me to read, study, and understand Your Holy Word

Continue to help and let me believe in You

To not trust You, would be absolutely absurd!

Help me to be humble

Help me to have patience

Help me to get up, whenever I stumble

Help me to have Love for You, myself, and for others

Help me to embrace my sisters and brothers

Help me to lead others unto You

Help me in everything I do

In Christ, Jesus name, our Lord and Savior, I pray and ask

Amen, Amen!, and Amen!!

ATTITUDE

Attitude is an opinion, outlook, viewpoint, and a form of discipline

A good attitude is very important to have

I don't care what you're good at, or what your talents are
You can be the best athlete, at the top of your class, or you can be the worlds biggest superstar

If your attitude stinks
the further your career will sink

I don't care if times do change
Whatever you do in life, ALWAYS have a good attitude

Even if things get tough, continue to have a positive attitude
Remember, tough times don't last forever

Every need and every want will not always result in a yes, and some doors will close
But, keep your head up, keep moving forward, and always keep it together

I know it's easier said than done, but always have a good attitude at all times!

You'll be surprised how far you'll go

The Innocence of a Child

It's funny how you look at children

They're either playing, laughing, crying, eating, or sleeping

Whenever I look at a child, I ask myself, 'man!  Will this child become a villain?'

'Is this child going to be someone famous?'

'Is this child going to succeed in life, regardless to the obstacles of the world?'

'Will this child grow up to be strung out on drugs?  Or, land in prison for the rest of his/her life?'

'What will this child's destiny be?'

These are questions I ask myself from time-to-time, whenever I see a child playing in a park, or riding a bicycle with training wheels

Children are so innocent, they do not know the value of money

Children do not know how to worry

Instead, they think life is always sunny

They do not know the danger of drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes

They do not have a clue what it's like to pay a bill

They do not know how to steal

They do not know what Racism, war, or prison is like

They have no idea what lies ahead for them in the future

We as adults must protect our children and make sure they are disciplined and loved!

We must make sure our children receive a decent education

We must teach them to have love and respect for themselves, and for others!

We must also teach them that WE ARE ALL ONE in this world

To inform them that we are all sisters and brothers!

However, IT ALL STARTS IN THE HOME FIRST!

Like the Word of God says, 'Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.'

God bless all the children around the world!

For the children are the future!

Are Looters Thugs?

I’ve always considered myself a peaceful man

Whenever trouble came my way, I turned and ran

When it comes to protesting for Civil Rights, it should
be peaceful for me and you
Sometimes, that’s hard to do

Especially, when you have looters, who invade and
destroy businesses throughout the community
There are those, who call looters thugs, including our
President
I agree that some of them are thugs and their participation
for protesting are not for the right reasons

But!  What do you call abusive and Racist cops, who use
unnecessary force and straight out murder unarmed minorities?
THUGS!! That's who they are!
They are the biggest thugs and criminals throughout this country!!

That's why I thank God for the police, who actually do their jobs to protect

and serve  the communities of ALL Cultures, Nationalities, and Races

Let’s demonstrate peacefully, so that change can be made within the
system to protect a person’s Civil Rights from injustice

What's Up Bro?

The slang word "Bro" means brotherhood amongst
us male African-Americans

In my vision
I see brotherhood among all Nationalities and Races
Regardless, to the color of our faces

We brothers must have peace,
in order to bring evil in this world to a complete
cease!

Here are just SOME of the powers that God allows us
brothers all over the world to have:
To stop crime
To provide health care to everyone
To feed the poor
To shelter the homeless
To provide decent jobs for working families
To provide everyone with a decent education
To stop war forever
To clean the air and protect the earth's environment
To lower taxes
To end the viciousness of Racism

We brothers have the power to give
To make this world a beautiful place to live

We have the power and privilege to worship and
praise our only Creator and Savior together as one
Where we can make this world safe and make it a
place for our children to have fun

I ask ALL males from ALL Nationalities, Cultures, and Races:
What's up Bro?
